Are you looking to host a dynamic and exciting event in the heart of the City? Yonge-Dundas Square hosts hundreds of events every year, and provides a full complement of event management services, including audio/ visual production, cleaning and logistics staff, security and one-on-one event advice. Our Event Coordinators will work closely with you to provide expertise and support, to ensure your event is a great success.

- Fill out the online booking application and submit via email.

Aside from Permit Fees, the costs associated with using Yonge-Dundas Square are entirely dependent on the activation requirements and schedules. It is not possible for staff to give estimates over the phone, however the fees as well as the client handbook can be used as a guide to an initial costing for a project. YDS Coordinators will provide an estimate once a date has been secured and when more information has been provided.
Charities, Non-profit Organizations and some Community groups may be eligible for a discount or waiver on their Permit Fees for the day, although staffing and support/equipment costs will still apply.
There are minimum staffing requirements for all events including Onsite Coordination, Security and Operations.

General Governance Information:
Yonge-Dundas Square (YDS) is designated for use as a public open space and as an event venue. The facility may be booked for commercial, charitable or community events.
The Square is operated by the Yonge-Dundas Square Board of Management. To learn more, please click here.
Yonge-Dundas Square is governed by the City of Toronto Municipal Code Chapter 636. In addition, there are guidelines in place to which all users must comply and that specify the conditions under which the Square may be used. For applicants that do not meet the guidelines, or disagree with permit decisions, the Board provides an appeal process. Upon written request, the Board of Management will review and consider such matters at one of its regularly scheduled meetings.
Yonge-Dundas Square has a long and successful history of hosting a wide variety of diverse and expressive events. At all times, even during permitted events, Yonge-Dundas Square is considered to be a public square. Ensuring that Yonge-Dundas Square remains open and welcoming to all members of the public is a fundamental operating principle of the facility and consistent with the usage of all public spaces in the City of Toronto.
